Welcome to Felling Male Voice Choir

Felling Male Voice Choir is based in the North East of England and regularly performs in the region, throughout the UK and Europe. The choir is proud of its heritage and successes and works to maintain and develop male voice singing for future generations to enjoy.

Generations concert rehearsal 04-02-2015: Coming soon... joint concert
... with the North East Recorder Orchestra at Jesmond United Reformed Church on Saturday 7th March at 7.00 pm. The choir, which has a deserved reputation and which sings a wide range of music from the sixteenth to the twentieth century, is always looking for new concert venues and partners and this event fulfills both criteria. Generations concert rehearsal 30-03-2014: Last night - Generations Concert
We all had a great time at last night's Generations concert, with the talented children of Glynwood Primary School and Swing Bridge Singers .The highlights? Too many to mention but the encore of "Together" was a treat, with all three choirs on the stage.

Here's hoping this isn't the last Generations concert.
FMVC mugs 14-Feb-2014: New members
In recent weeks, we've added three new full members to the choir: Charles Anderson, Brian Harland and John Envy. They received a warm welcome and were each presented with choir ties and music folders. It's a great time to join, with the upcoming Generations concert and a future performance of Faure's Requiem.

A concert showcasing choral music across the generations, with the voices of Glynwood Primary Choir, Swing Bridge Singers & FMVC.

FMVC mugs 15-Jan-2014: Coming Soon - Faurés Requiem
A lot of rehearsal time is currently being spent on the marvellous Requiem by Gabriel Fauré. We're performing the requiem as part of a Northern Chords concert, which will include baritone Benedict Nelson and soprano, Ruby Hughes.
Date: Wednesday 28th May 2014 at 7pm

Rita with FMVC cakeFMVC cake 15-Nov-2013: Happy Birthday to Us
At Friday night's rehearsal we celebrated our recent 93rd anniversary. A delicious cake was made by Rita from the Ladies' Circle and our President, Dr Gordon Adam, gave a brief speech.

For the rest of the evening it was business as usual as we've a big concert to prepare for; the Northumberland Music Festival at Guyzance Hall on Saturday 9th November.

Sage 29th-Sept-2013: Sage concourse encore
We had the pleasure of entertaining folks passing through the concourse of the Sage Gateshead. It's not often we experience the sight of a cyclist riding past our Musical Director but he seemed to be pedalling in time. Always a pleasure to perform at the Sage. Looking forward to next Saturday's Ashington Festival at St John's Church.
Heritage 2nd-July-2013: Remember when...?
You'll find some new additions to the Heritage section of the site; a selection of concert programmes from the '70s and '80s. Do they bring back any memories? At our recent Annual General Meeting, John Holland and Bryan McAree were both awarded with certificates for their 25 years membership in the the choir. Their certificates were presented by our President, Dr Gordon Adam.
