WHAT A YEAR FOR CONCERTS!

1978 was not just the Diamond Jubilee Year for Felling Male Voice Choir! But it proved to be one of the most years for concerts.

The choir gave concerts across the North of England with each one having its own rewards. Concerts in Blyth, Cramlington and Stanley were for the Arts Associations. In Darlington, it was for the Civic Theatre while in Aspatria, Guisborough and Mexborough for the local churches. Charity concerts were held in Filey for the 800th anniversary of the church, Newcastle for Leukaemia Research and Northallerton for the Women’s Cancer Detection Society. A final Christmas Concert was given at Heworth Grange.

61 different choral items were sung. Not bad!
