Felling Male Voice Choir did not just have success at Blackpool and a memorable trip to Holland in 1985, they also had a full programme of concert in the North of England.

There were concerts in churches in Amble, Blyth, Bishop Aukland, Cramlington, Gateshead, Seaham and Spennymoor. The choir also sang at the 1300th anniversary of Jarrow St. Paul’s Church, the oldest in Britain, in May.

The indoor bowls club at Brampton invited the choir to sing in the Irving Valley Centre.

The choir gave a Joint Concert at Whitley Bay Playhouse on the 14th September with the “Tyneside Ladies Barbershop” chorus, who had been British Ladies Champions for 4 years.

A concert was held in Hexham for the charity “SHAW” – Sheltered Housing and Work. There was a concert in Ponteland Methodist Church for the British Red Cross. The year ended with a concert in Felling for the North East Cancer Research Fund.
