Felling Male Voice Choir were certainly very active in 1977!

The Annual Concert featured guest artist, Betty Allen from the USA, who had to pull out the previous year due to illness. After performing with the New York Philharmonic and the Milwaukee Symphony, she put on an excellent show at Newcastle City Hall..

In September, the choir was back in the City Hall and Middlesbrough Town Hall with Low Fell Ladies, Middlesbrough Festival Chorus, Craghead and Plymouth Patchogue Brass Bands in a performance of the “Trumpets” by Gilbert Vintner. Concert was recorded and broadcast on Radio Three.

“The Silver Ring Choir” from Bath joined the choir in a Joint Concert at Whitley Bay Playhouse.

Tyne Tees Television invited the choir to take part in a special programme “What Fettle” about North East football with local comedian Bobby Pattinson.

The choir presented concerts in Carlisle, Coventry and Stokesley, as well as locally in Alnwick, Birtley, Felling, Gateshead, Longbenton, Mexborough, Newcastle, Sunderland, Walker, Wallsend and Whitley Bay.

Just another quiet year in the life of Felling Male Voice Choir.
