Felling Male Voice Choir always guaranteed a variety of performers as guests artists at their Annual Concerts at Newcastle City Hall.
In 1994, the guests were the famous Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band. Founded in 1917, the band were famous for their success in competitions and had recorded thirty-five records. Their finest piece of the City Hall’s performance was “The Procession to the Minster” by Wagner.
The choir performed “A Dirge for Two Veterans” by Gustav Holst supported with brass and percussion accompaniment. “Nabucco”, “Bobby Shafto” and “When the Saints” were very popular.
The choir and band finished with “Love is the Answer”.
