After the success of the Festival of Britain in London, a change was on the horizon for Felling Male Voice Choir!
Tom Mearis, the musical director, was advised by his doctors to cut down on his choir commitments. He resigned the leadership of all of his choirs, except Felling Male Voice.
Upon a recommendation from Tom Mearis, an approach was made in June 1952 to Norman Williams to help him as conductor at Felling. This was the coming to an end but the start of a new era for Felling Male Voice Choir.
