Norman Williams continued to adapt well in his new role with Felling Male Voice Choir and he assumed more of a leader’s role. He continued to be supported by Tom Mearis, the musical director, Basil Arnold, the former deputy-conductor and members.

For the next 4 years, the Choir continued to be successful with celebrity concerts in Scunthorpe, Blackburn, Carlisle and Southport. They certainly had a reputation after winning the Festival of Britain in 1951.
