Felling Male Voice Choir teamed up with the Silver Ring Choir to present two excellent concerts in 1973.
The first concert in April was in the Bath Assembly Rooms. On the Sunday morning, about 50 Felling men sang in the local church service.
A music critic said in the local Bath press – “The Felling Choir can sing like Bath Abbey organ with all its stops out. It has the finest line of first tenors I have ever heard and its bottom basses are as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar. It always hits a note in the middle and you never have to cringe at a near miss – a really thrilling sound.”
The second concert was held at the end of the summer at Newcastle City Hall.
