It is fitting as we draw to the end of 2019 to reflect on our review of Felling Male Voice Choir’s first 50 years, 1920 to 1970. Norman Williams, former musical director said:
“Felling Male Voice Choir can look back with pride on fifty years of persistent endeavour and high achievement of traditions diligently established and consistently maintained. A choir does not exist for half a century by chance or good fortune. It is the product of devoted service in leadership and administration, together with loyal and enthusiastic membership.”
The public support for the choir was at an all time high! The Annual Concert had to be moved from Gateshead Town Hall to Newcastle City Hall to meet demand.
