Felling Male Voice Choir can attract an audience! But it’s not often that every police officer had to be on duty to control the crowds.

That was the case when the Choir returned to Felling Square on Sunday, 24th June 1951 after winning The Festival of Britain Music Competition at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Over a thousand people turned out on that wet evening to honour their own singers.

The Choir responded to a request to sing with “Passing By” and “In Absence”. Felling Male Voice Choir were also honoured at a civic reception in September.
