Felling Male Voice Choir appointed a new President for their 75th Anniversary in 1995.

Here’s what the choir chair, Ken Self said at the time:
“We are delighted to announce that Mr David Arbon, the Director of Education for Gateshead, was appointed President of the Choir at our Annual General Meeting held in February. David has lived in the area for ten years and has been a keen supporter of the Choir. He comes from a very musical family. However, on his own admission, David has limited ability in the musical field but has a discerning ear and appreciates listening to good quality singing. He is delighted to have been invited to lead the Choir in this very important year and hopes to attend as many concerts and functions within his very busy diary. Obviously the Annual Concert will figure highly in David’s plans but we are looking forward to many other celebrations when he and his wife will join us.”
