Felling Male Voice Choir continued with a wide range of community concerts across the North of England in 1994.
The year started with a concert in the Queen’s Hall, Hexham and then nearer to home at Heworth for a concert with the Felling G & S Society. In February, the choir sang for the Denewell Avenue UR Church in Low Fell.
The choir was invited to make a recording with Sir Harry Secombe in Gateshead for ‘Secombe on Sunday’.
The remainder of the concert programme included engagements at Brampton, Darlington, Jarrow for the Arts Festival and Washington in the Parish Church.
In October, the choir were invited to sing with the Low Fell Ladies Choir in St. Mark’s Church, Gateshead. The concert was in memory of Mrs Molly Peacock who had many successes in concert and contests with her Ladies.
The year ended with a fine concert when the Wansbeck Youth Band and Felling MVC played to a delighted audience in the Newbiggin Leisure Centre. The concert included a wide variety of music and some special Christmas music to give the audience a chance to join in with the band and choir.
