There is one thing for certain and that was there was always variety and some of the top entertainers at the Felling Male Voice Choir’s Annual Concert.

This was the case when they the Jayess Queensberry Band from Yorkshire appeared in 1986.

The programme at the concert varied from “Tavern Song” to “Aye Me My Wonted Joys”, “Shadrach” to “Guys and Dolls”. There was a special piece, written by Armstrong Gibbs, “To My Heart”, performed by the choir. This was sung in memory of Tom Mearis, who brought Felling to the highest of choral standards.

The enthusiastic audience at Newcastle City Hall enjoyed the combined performance. St. Oswald’s Hospice development fund benefitted from the concert.
