Felling Male Voice Choir travelled to Sheffield in February 1986 to hold its first “Joint Concert” with the “City of Sheffield Girl’s Choir”.

The venue was the Sheffield Octagon Theatre.

The Sheffield Choir had won the “Youth Choir of the Year” in the Sainsbury’s competition in 1984. They were awarded the trophy for excellence at the Montreaux International Choral Festival and later in July were placed first at Lllangollen.

The famous “Versatile Brass” were also in support at the concert.

Felling included numbers such as “Dana Dana”, “Grief”, “The Tavern Song”, “Tiger Tiger”, “Beat Beat Drums” and “Great Things”.
