Felling Male Voice Choir certainly attracted a variety of top entertainers and covered the country to venues. 1976 was no exception!

In February, the choir were invited by “The Lockwood Band” in Huddersfield Town Hall. After the band played the “Blaydon Races, the choir and band joined forces for “Border Ballad”, “This Land Is My Land”, “To Isis and Osiris” and “The Battle Hymn of the Republic”.

In June, the choir were invited by Pendle Insurance Company to sing with the “Ever Ready Band” in Newcastle. After joint numbers, the audience joined in to a rousing version of “Jesus shall Reign”.

The “Silver Ring Choir” invited the choir back to perform a joint concert at Bath Assembly Rooms. The hosts were very interested in the choir’s American songs as they were about to tour.

The Felling guys also took part in concerts at Stanley Civic Hall with soprano Eiddwen Harrhy, Willington Methodist Church with soprano Anne Evans and tenor David Rendall, as well as a special concert in aid of the HMS Glasgow Disaster fund.
