Members of Felling Male Voice Choir gave up many Saturdays and Sundays in the summer of 1990.
They were prepared to lend their support to the National Garden Festival in Gateshead and to promote male voice singing.
Enthusiastic audiences from loyal supporters and visitors ensured full houses to their performances.
The choir were also blessed with generally fine weather during their performances. On a few occasions when it was raining, all they seemed to have to do was sing their arrangement of the “Sunshine Medley” and it dispelled the rain.
