One of the other key influences on Felling Male Voice Choir in the late 1950’s was their need to improve the promotion of the choir.
The choir created the position of Public Relations Officer to help promote a wider knowledge of the choir, its aims and activities, amongst a wider public.
A new quarterly newsletter, called ‘Vocal’ was produced with information on the choir’s activities at concerts and festivals, and general musical interest from members. The newsletter was circulated to members, patrons, friends of the choir and other organisations.
The new vision in public relations helped to promote a greater demand for the choir’s services and excellent support at concerts.
