Felling Male voice Choir must have been experts in map reading because they certainly accumulated the miles to perform concerts and events. 1982 was no exception!

The choir gave local concerts in Ashington, Blaydon, Blyth, Earsdon, Felling, Gateshead, Newcastle, Newton Aycliffe and South Shields. Away from the area, they sang in Bath with the “Silver Ring Choir”, Llangollen for the Eisteddfod, London for the “Sainsbury Festival of Choirs”, and Redcar.

They sang the male voice parts in Brahms’ Alto Rhapsody with the Northern Philharmonia Orchestra.

The choir also took part in the BBC Radio Wales competition for Male Voice Choirs and reached the quarter finals.
