The choir and the audience were very enthusiastic and the singing was of the highest order!

This was the scene in 1984 when Felling Male Voice Choir presented their Annual Concert at Newcastle City Hall. It was also a debut for new Musical Director, Chris Wiltshire, and a new phase in the development of the choir.

Ronald Morrison was the guest artist and he sang groups of operatic arias, spirituals, ballads and some Scottish songs.

The choir performed favourites such as “Border Ballad”, “Keep Your Feet Still”, “The Isle of Mull”, “Love Could I Only Tell Thee” and “Sea Gypsy”. They also performed arrangements by Chris Wiltshire of “Great Things”, “The Ballad of Semmerwater” and “Rhythm of Life”.
