DANISH CHOIR PERFORMS WITH TWO FELLING CHOIRS!

When Felling Male Voice Choir visited Denmark in 1974, there were no choirs in Korsor. Shortly after, they decided to form the mixed choir, “Storebaeltskoret”.

Twenty years later, they landed at North Shields and made their temporary home in the surroundings of Beamish Hall, near Stanley.

The Danish choir gave joint concerts with the G & S Society in Felling and the Male Voice Choir in Washington. They gave more informal performances in Durham Cathedral, the chapel at Beamish Museum and the Metro Centre.

The visit was balanced with sightseeing in Beamish, Durham, Newcastle and North Yorkshire and social evenings in Birtley and Washington.

Yet another strong European bond was forged!
