At last night’s Annual General Meeting, Stuart Dearlove stood down as Chairman of Felling Male Voice Choir after 11 years.

Eddie Palmer, the former Vice Chairman, has taken over the role of Chairman during the choir’s “Centenary Year”.

Stuart said:
“It’s been my privilege to be in the chair of Felling Male Voice Choir for the past eleven years.

Much has been achieved in that time to enhance our musical performances and to secure the choir‘s future.

I’m standing down now in our Centenary year to make room for others to use their passion and enthusiasm to take this great and renowned choir forward into its next hundred years.

I’m filled with excitement and optimism about the future of the choir and I look forward to continue serving it from the, ‘back benches’.

I hope our many friends and supporters will join us at Sage Gateshead on the 10th of October for our Centenary Celebrity Concert.

See you there!”
