Felling Male Voice Choir decided to introduce four themes into their Annual Concert at Newcastle City Hall in 1990.

“Something Old” was five old golden oldies from the traditional male voice repertoire, including “Arise O Sun” and “In Absence”.

“Something Competitive” was five songs for 1990 international competitions, including “The Fighting Temeraire” and “John Jaybird”.

“Something New” was four songs which were recent additions to the choir’s repertoire, including “Sunday’s Child” and a trilogy by Chris Wiltshire “These Women All”.

“Something Borrowed” was four light music arrangements of old and new standards, including “Comedy Tonight” and “Kern by the Dozen”, an arrangement by Chris Wiltshire.

The guest artist for the Annual Concert was trombonist, Don Lusher. The concert was in conjunction with the Marie Curie Cancer Care (Conrad House) and the Abbeyfield Society of Newcastle upon Tyne.
