1976 was to be a truly American themed Annual Concert for Felling Male Voice. Betty Allen was booked as the guest artist but she was unable to travel from the USA due to illness.
Welshman Delme Bryn-Jones stood in at very short notice. Bryn Jones had sung at Covent Garden and with the Scottish and Welsh National Operas. His programme was varied and as expected included a group of Welsh songs.
Felling stuck with many of their American themed songs – “This Land Is My Land”, “When Johnny Comes Marching Home”, “Ain’a That Good News”, “Behold Man” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic”. They also included a group of new arrangements of songs from the North.
