Felling Male Voice Choir were definitely on the road in 1973!

They performed community concerts in Cumberland, Durham, Northumberland and Yorkshire at Blyth, Stokesley, Gateshead, Washington, Wallsend, Richmond, Sunderland, Spennymoor, Middlesbrough, Blackhall, Jarrow, Stanley and Whitehaven. At a concert in Felling, they sang with the Arion Male Voice Choir from British Columbia in Canada. They also travelled to concerts in Lancashire and Somerset.

The choir also took part in the Freckleton Music Festival but were runners up. They were successful in the BBC Choral Contest in the “Equal Voice Class” and represented Britain in the International section but were runners up to a choir from Yugoslavia.

They also managed to release their first vinyl album, “Ain’t Got Time To Die”.

Not a bad year for their community!
