That was the achievement for Felling Male Voice Choir at the Blackpool Music Festival and their 3rd contest in the year.
Their hard work paid off with the thrill of singing in the competition with some very good choirs at the Winter Gardens.
This is what the adjudicators said:
“The Dance of the Gnomes” – Excellent balance and sense of harmony; even in the shortest staccato the chord was always clear; so were the words. Intonation reliable all the way.
“The Fighting Temeraire” – Dramatic presentation of the piece, musical clear and with clear words throughout. The bell effect was impressive, particularly as regards the quaver triplets of the 1st tenors and 2nd basses. Despite complex undulations the harmony was never in doubt.
