Felling Male Voice Choir were proud to be invited to take part in the “1000 Welsh Male Voices” Concert at the Royal Albert Hall in October 1986.

What an experience to be part of that beautiful sound in the majestic setting.

To sing such wonderful pieces as “Myfanwy”, “Martyrs”, “Comrades In Arms” and “Lily of the Valley” was quite an experience for the choir. But to sing the Welsh “Nant y Mynydd”, “Bro Aber” and “Pantyfedwen” in Welsh with over nine hundred other voices was marvellous for the guys from Felling.

The quieter pieces were the ones to bring a thrill or cause an eye to moisten. The traditional “Were You There”, “Calm Is The Sea” and “Jacob’s Ladder” had this effect.

After the concert, it was back to Imperial College for a “get together”. Felling gave impromptu renditions of “Music”, “Rhythm of Life” and “Drunken Sailor”, which almost brought the house down!
